I am an on location photographer serving the St. Louis metro area.  I love making memories and would love to capture your wedding, event, newborn, birthday, family, or senior session.

   I got started with photography when my youngest son was born.  I bought a used Canon DSLR and lens on craigslist and started taking pictures.  There was a lot of trial and error at first, then I decided to actually study photography.  Countless hours of courses, guides, books, etc. later I was taking pictures of my two boys with confidence and flooded my unsuspecting family and friends with Facebook pictures.

   A friend of mine asked me to photograph her daughter's birthday party, and that started my career in photography.  I still continue to learn, shoot, and grow as a photographer.  I typically  prefer what is known as a 'clean' edit, where I adjust contrast and colors a bit to make the photo pop, but I don't go crazy with Photoshop to turn the image into something other than what was really there.

   I've been married for 11 years, we have two boys, ages 4 and 7, and two dogs.  I am an easy going, laid-back individual and I transition that into my photography.  I enjoy the real candid story telling images more than the posed, "look at the camera and smile" style of pictures.  I prefer to give direction and let you have a pose that is more you.  Obviously there is a time and place for formal posed pictures, and those are captured as well.  I personally treasure our family pictures that were us being us.  Photos of us interacting as a family and playing together are hanging up more than the posed pictures in our home.
